Why IB Math Requires a Different Approach
The IB Math diploma is not just about solving equations. It demands exploration, reasoning, and the ability to communicate mathematics clearly.
IA (Internal Assessment)
The IA is a mathematical exploration worth 20% of the final grade. It requires a different skill set from exam answering.
Proofs & Exploration
IB Math places heavy emphasis on mathematical reasoning, proofs, and exploration — not just computation.
Calculator & Non-Calculator Papers
Students must master both technology-assisted and technology-free problem solving.
How We Help IB Students Excel
Our IB Math programme is designed around the unique demands of the IB diploma — not just exams, but exploration and reasoning.
Aligned to IB Diploma Syllabus
Every lesson maps to the latest IB Mathematics curriculum guide for AA and AI at SL and HL.
IA Guidance & Structure Support
We guide students through topic selection, exploration structure, and mathematical rigor — within IB academic integrity guidelines.
Exam Technique for Both Papers
Targeted practice for both calculator and non-calculator papers, including GDC skills.
Digital LMS with IB-Style Practice
Practice questions with instant feedback and step-by-step solutions on our LMS.

Internal Assessment (IA) Support
We guide students through topic selection, mathematical exploration, and structuring their IA report — the component that can make or break an IB Math grade. Our support covers the full process: choosing a topic with the right level of mathematical depth, structuring the exploration, ensuring mathematical rigor, and refining the final report — all within IB academic integrity guidelines.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between IB Math AA and AI?⌄
AA (Analysis & Approaches) focuses on abstract math, calculus, and proofs — better for engineering/physical sciences. AI (Applications & Interpretation) focuses on practical applications, statistics, and modeling — better for social sciences and business.
Should I take SL or HL?⌄
HL goes deeper into all topics and includes additional content. If you need Math for university entry (especially STEM), HL is usually required. We help you decide based on your target course.
Do you help with the Internal Assessment?⌄
Yes. We guide students through topic selection, exploration structure, and mathematical rigor — all within IB academic integrity guidelines.
When should I start IB math tuition?⌄
Year 1 is ideal for building foundations, but many students start in Year 2 for focused exam prep and IA support.
Do you offer online tuition?⌄
Yes, both in-person in Paya Lebar and online via our digital LMS.
